"Brisbane's The Stress of Leisure must have been going through a collection of one-hit wonders from the '90s and stumbled across a copy of 'Detachable Penis' by King Missile and gone, "We can do that", and so they have. 'Sex Time' borrows from this track in every perceivable way, whether it's the delay affected guitar playing basically the same riff, to the spoken sex rhymes, to the sultry lady vocals. Thing is, it's totally awesome so why the fuck not? B-side 'Sex On The Beach' has its pedigree in Pavement heyday indie, but is just as sexy. The melody is seductive and loose, with the storytelling a little less obvious but no less successful.
